At the Department of Educational Sciences, we focus on education and learning that take place throughout life and in a variety of contexts. By studying with us, you will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge of educational processes at all levels of the education system, as well as formal and non-formal adult education. You will acquire the skills necessary to understand, conceptualize, and implement a variety of educational and learning processes and practices, to provide pedagogical/andragogical leadership of staff and institutions, to develop and conduct research in the field of education, and to apply interdisciplinary knowledge for high-quality work in the education of children, youth, and adults.
The department employs 27 faculty members, assistants, researchers, and professional staff in the library and administration.
The Alumni Club at the University of Ljubljana and the Association of Students of Andragogy and Pedagogy (DŠAP) also operate within the Department.
