Master Studies
The Department of Educational Sciences offers the following second-cycle (Master’s level) study programmes:
- Pedagogical study programme ANDRAGOGY, within which students may choose between the following tracks:
- Andragogy – single teacher study track
- Andragogy – combined teacher study track
- Andragogy – Double Degree (single teacher study track) in cooperation with the University of Würzburg*
- Single teacher study programme PEDAGOGY
- Combined teacher study programme PEDAGOGY
*The Double Degree programme is a joint study programme that enables students to obtain two degrees – one awarded by the Faculty of Arts and the other by the Faculty of Human Sciences (Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg). Credits earned at both institutions within the framework of the programme are mutually recognized, thereby reducing the total study time compared to completing two separate degrees independently. The Double Degree programme: (1) represents the “best of both worlds,” as each institution contributes its specific strengths to the study programme and thus complements the partner institution; (2) offers an exceptional opportunity for students who wish to acquire not only academic knowledge but also experience in an international environment and intercultural competences; and (3) opens up new opportunities for students on the European labour market. Students enrolled in the first year of the single teacher study track ANDRAGOGY programme express their interest in participating in the Double Degree programme at the beginning of the winter semester. A joint selection committee, as defined in the current agreement between the partner institutions, subsequently issues a call and selects candidates based on defined criteria (academic performance and motivation for study). The number of available places is limited.
The second cycle study programmes lasts 2 years (4 semesters) and comprises a total of 60 (single) or 120 (combined) credits (ECTS).
