The lectures will provide information on history of the protection of cultural heritage - conservation, basic principles, tasks and methods of the conservation work. The students will get the knowledge and skills needed to work on basic tasks of art historians on the field of conservation.
The lectures are divided on folowing main themes:
- the history of protection of cultural heritage - conservation
- the bacic contents of conservation
- legislation of cultural heritage
- the maintenance of cultural heritage – theory and methods of conservation
- dokumentation of cultural heritage and conservation tasks in praxis
- scientific work in conservation and popularization
