Lecturer(s): asist. Dražil Gregor, doc. dr. Grabar Nika, izr. prof. dr. Žerovc Beti

The topics selected for the course are variable; they are related not only to other courses (Special Topics / Seminars in Slovenian and European art), but also to current developments in art history (the current projects on listed buildings and monuments, new discoveries, important exhibitions, etc.). The theoretical and practical knowledge from the courses are used and developed in order to discuss and analyse selected works of art and architecture during field work. Locations of field work are carefully selected in order to give students a wide and complex array of diverse art historical issues (on architecture, sculpture, painting, interior design, applied arts; chronologically: from antiquity to the present-day); moreover, the topics can be approached from many different points-of-view (addressing various problems, such as topography, chronology, conservation, museology, morphology, iconography, etc.)..

Before the beginning of the academic year the lecturer prepares a list of required literature in accordance with the semester plan for the fieldwork and excursions.
